Edgy Classic Style

Edgy Classic is perfect for traditionalists who like to add a little of the unexpected. (You're the kind of girl who wears a little black dress accessorized with hot pink shoes.) Edgy Classic embraces the past while simultaneously welcoming the contemporary – it's grand, but not fussy. The elements of a traditional room are given a twist – drapes are still long and full but streamlined and don't puddle on the ground; modern chairs and/or sofas reside in the same seating areas as their antique ancestors; modern fabrics cover vintage pieces; and crystal chandeliers hang over it all. Be sure to add some antique accents but bridge the casual and the formal with clean-lined pieces. Most of all, have fun with this look – a white bust of Elvis can look scrumptious next to an oversized antique gilt mirror.
